It suits a first massage, a stressful week, or anyone who finds firm pressure too much. If you want it lighter or a little firmer, say so at the start.

Is it OK to fall asleep?
Yes. Plenty of people drift off during a relaxation massage. That is a sign it is doing its job.
Will a relaxation massage fix a sore back?
It can ease general tightness, but it is not aimed at stubborn knots. If one spot is the problem, ask about deep tissue or a back, neck and shoulder massage instead.
